Lubavitch Senior Girls’ School (LSGS) aims to provide all pupils not only with knowledge and understanding of the world around them, but also with the life skills they require at their present stage, and in future years.

Throughout the school experience there is concern for Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) which a wide range of topics including:

  • Emotional Intelligence;
  • Accepting responsibility, and contributing to community life;
  • Citizenship;
  • General knowledge of public institutions and services in England;
  • Developing respect for their own and other cultures;
  • Drugs, alcohol and tobacco;
  • Nutrition and physical activity;
  • Safety

Outside speakers play an important part in the programme. PSHE is not confined to the lessons it is included in the content and teaching of many subjects taught in school as well as assemblies, speakers and extra-curricular activities.

The aim is to help form young women who are informed, alert and able to make their own independent moral choices in all aspects of life. We recognise that PSHE helps young people to deal effectively with the pressures and challenges that growing up in the 21st century presents in our own community and in the UK.
