The internet, and all it can offer, is a wonderful tool for keeping in touch with friends and family, however, parents and carers need to be aware that it is possible for people who are not known to your children and young people, to communicate with them via the internet.

We have a dedicated this area on the school website to provide support, advice and guidance to our parents, pupils and staff.

We know that the internet and the many devices, apps and social networks our young people are exposed to can be an intimidating place. It is important that all parents, carers teaching staff and other adults working with our young people make an effort to understand the many forms of new and digital media and technology that students are exposed to. With the right knowledge and understanding and an appropriate level of control and guidance, the internet, apps and social networking can be positive learning tools for pupils of all ages.
